Supporting those experiencing homelessness

Those facing homelessness are ordinarily one of the most vulnerable groups in society and during Covid-19 they are exposed and at a significantly increased risk. Not only do they not have a safe space for refuge, many do not have access to facilities for regularly washing hands, protective supplies, sanitizer etc. We have supported several organisations in helping those experiencing homelessness remain safe, fed and protected.

ALONE supporting older people

ALONE received €7,500 in funding from The Community Foundation for Ireland’s Covid-19 Response Fund which was used to create, develop and deliver a standardised, quality, interactive online training course to COVID - 19 volunteers nationwide. This will improve their volunteer retainment rate, improve staff support and ultimately improve support for older people availing of their services.

Facebook donates $100,000 to the Covid-19 Response Fund

The Facebook Community Fund recently announced that it was making a donation of $100,000 to The Community Foundation for Ireland Covid-19 Fund aimed at addressing the immediate needs of Irish community and voluntary sector organisations during the Covid-19 crisis.
