Frances Haworth – Heads of Grants, Donor Care and Impact
Frances joined us in 2020 after serving as Head of Major Gifts at Trócaire and previously as philanthropy advisor with various organisations including the Union for International Cancer Control, Geneva. Frances is an experienced project manager, researcher and fundraiser in the not-for-profit sector in Ireland and abroad. She spent many years working in the disability sector in Moldova and Romania, and spearheaded a project to bring together Irish charities working in Eastern Europe to share experiences. Frances’ passion is in collaboration and bringing together the resources needed to affect positive change in the world around us, with a particular focus on equality and protection for the most vulnerable. Frances has a MSc in Applied Social Research from Trinity College Dublin, and a Diploma in Project Management from the Institute of Commercial Management.
Sara Stokes – Grants and Donor Services Manager
Sara is an experienced researcher with degrees in Sociology and Arts Policy, and a PhD in Gender and Equality Studies and has worked in the area of grant making and policy analysis for almost a decade across a wide range of public agencies. She joined the Grants and Donor Services team at The Community Foundation for Ireland in 2015, a role that affords her the opportunity to pursue her interest in equality and community development while ensuring that our donors are nurtured and supported in their philanthropic endeavours.
Adele McNamara - Senior Grants and Donor Services Executive
Adele manages a portfolio of individual, family and corporate funds and supports her donors to strategically develop their giving. She is passionate about social justice, equality and community development. Adele came to us in 2011 from our sister organisation Business in the Community Ireland where she worked in psychosocial support and advocacy. Adele holds a BA Degree in History and Classics and a First Class BA Honors Degree in Psychology. Adele has managed The Older Persons’ Fund since its inception with Atlantic Philanthropies and is particularly interested in advocating for justice and equality for Older Persons.

David Bockmann - Senior Grants and Donor Services Executive
David manages a portfolio of individual, family and corporate funds at The Community Foundation for Ireland, assisting donors in effective and impactful grant making in Ireland and abroad. David joined us in the summer of 2014, bringing with him an Honours B.Sc. in (Mgmt.) Management & Marketing and a background in Customer Service Management, Procurement and Charity Software Licensing. After a start in IT and CRM project management, David joined the Grants and Donor Services Team to pursue his interests in supporting philanthropy and charitable giving, in particular in the areas of homelessness and refugee & migrant issues.
Emma Doyle - Senior Grants and Donor Services Executive
Emma joined the Community Foundation for Ireland in January 2020. She has a BA Degree in Archaeology and Classics and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Studies. Emma has been in the Fundraising and Philanthropy space for almost 14 years and is passionate about working with Donors to help them make the most impactful gift they can. Emma is particularly interested in the areas of Social Justice, Early Childhood Development and the Environment.

Patrick Sweeney - Senior Grants and Donor Services Executive
Patrick has a range of experience working across policy, programmes and development within the NGO sector in Ireland and the UK. Patrick has a BA in International Relations (DCU), a post-graduate certificate in Charity Law, Trusteeship and Governance (The Law Society) and a post-graduate diploma in Digital Marketing (Digital Marketing Institute). Patrick joined the team in November as part of the Grants and Donor Services team and manages a variety of individual, family and corporate funds.
Rosie McDonagh - Grants and Donor Services Executive
Rosie joined the Grants and Donor Services team in 2019. She has a background in community and student fundraising and was responsible in encouraging more fundraising at her university. Whilst completing her degree in History and Ancient History she was heavily involved in supporting a local homeless charity and volunteering at her Student Union. She has a particular interest in combating homelessness and she currently runs a volunteer group that tackles hygiene poverty.
Shreya Chaturvedi - Grants and Donor Services Executive
Business Management and Data Analysis Executive, Shreya joined the Grants and Donor Services team in March 2021 and manages a portfolio of individual, family and corporate funds. She brings with her a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Finance and a Master’s degree in International Peace Studies from Trinity College Dublin. She has a variety of experience in the NGO sector in Ireland and India. She is passionate about social justice and inclusion and is particularly interested in advocating for reform in education practices.

Ailbhe McEntee - Grants and Donor Services Executive
Ailbhe joined the Community Foundation for Ireland in March 2021 as an Administrator and Support Officer to the Grants and Donor Services Team. In October 2021, she started her role as a Grants and Donor Services Executive and now manages a portfolio of individual, family and corporate funds. Ailbhe brings with her an Honours degree in Language and Cultural Studies from UCC and a Graduate Diploma in Education from UL. She previously worked in the ESL sector, initially as a teacher working with migrant communities and then as an Administrator and Academic Manager. She is passionate about the transformative power of education, equality and inclusivity.
