Collaboration & Joint Funding
The Community Foundation for Ireland welcomes the opportunity to work with trusts and foundations where there is a shared mission. This is a great way to optimise impact and use scarce philanthropic funds.
We currently partner with a number of other funders on joint funding of vital issues. Our partners include Tomar Trust, Unbound Philanthropy, St Stephens Green Trust, Katharine Howard Foundation and, previously, Atlantic Philanthropies.

Management And Administration Of Funds
The Community Foundation for Ireland manages charitable funds on behalf of a number of non-profit organisations and trusts. This allows organisations to draw on our expertise in grant-making at a national and grassroots level.
At times, trusts may wish to work with us to distribute a certain amount to a specific issue. Our collaborative partnerships have included the Tony Ryan Fund for Tipperary, Lifes2Good Foundation and Medtronic Community Foundation.
Investing Charitable Funds
Charitable organisations can set up a long-term endowed fund with us, which generates investment income. By pooling your investment with our permanent fund, we reduce your risk while optimising returns. The Board and our highly experienced Finance, Audit and Investment Committee oversee investment activity.
Assisting Transfers And Winding Down
We can help where there is a wish to wind down an existing charity, trust or foundation and spend down or maintain the assets according to the original charitable purpose.
