Covid 19 Fund Needs Your Support

We Want to Hear from You

The Community Foundation for Ireland continues to welcome donations from any individual, family, company or trust and foundation to our Covid-19 Response Fund in support of our vulnerable communities. Similarly we can work with you if you would like to focus grants on a specific geographic location, social issue area or vulnerable group. If you require any additional information please reach out to Jackie Harrison at JHarrison@foundation.ie

How You Have Helped

The Community Foundation for Ireland and you, our donors, have been supporting lifeline services and vulnerable communities throughout the Pandemic.

In total Covid-19 related projects accounted for €9m of the €15m we granted in 2020. That work continues today.

Your support allows health and well-being services to become digital, provides after-care for people who have had a stroke and kept classes going for children with autism.

You have also combatted isolation by keeping Meals On Wheels going, given lap-tops to children in emergency accommodation and allowed digital access to the arts for children with long-term health issues, people living with dementia and other illnesses as well as to those who love and care for them,

Grants from €1,000 to €10,000 from our Covid-19 Response Fund have been made available for organisations supporting vulnerable groups. Recipients from this open grant round can be found here and here. Support has been focussed on vulnerable communities including:

In addition to our open grant round over €1 million in grants has been awarded to national, umbrella or larger organisations who are helping vulnerable people.
