Qaasim H Abdul, Head of Finance
Qaasim H Abdul joined in June 2017. Qaasim leads the Finance and office team and is also the Company Secretary. Qaasim holds a Degree in Accounting and Banking, is ACCA qualified and holds a Certificate in Charity Law, Trusteeship and Governance from the Law Society of Ireland. Prior to joining, Qaasim has held a number of finance positions in the Charity sector in the Homeless and Young People services. Qaasim also works for our sister organisation Business in the Community Ireland. Finance and HR are shared services between The Community Foundation for Ireland and Business in the Community Ireland.
Hema Suntharam, Management Accountant
Hema joined the Finance team of The Community Foundation For Ireland in March 2021. She is a fellow of ACCA and has over 15 years of experience in managing all the activities related to Accounting & Finance. Before joining the team, Hema has worked in many industries; Hotel, F&B, Engineering Services, Factoring, Construction, Trading, Real Estate, Manufacturing & Healthcare and gained international experience working in Europe, Middle East and Asia.
