Supporting Minorities
Equality for all in thriving communities is our mission.
We support ethnic groups and their advocates to acheive this goal. Our work with leading organisatons and campaign groups goes back 21-years.
Our donors have helped champion immigration reform to re-unite families torn apart by war, we support children by providing lap-tops to those who would otherwise be left behind by the digital divide and we confront inequality, racism and hate in all their forms.
From the refugee crisis to the impact of Covid-19, which has deepened inequalities, we connect our donors with frontline organisations including the Children’s Rights Alliance, the Irish Refugee Council, Migrant Rights Centre, Akidwa and The Immigrant Council of Ireland.
A much-overlooked minority in Ireland is Travellers. We have provided dedicated funding to conduct research examining Traveller health and inequalities and have funded organisations including the Irish Traveller Movement and National Traveller Women’s Forum.
Combatting Inequality during Covid-19
Our donors were among the very first to respond to Covid-19, which continues to deepen inequalities. The Digital Divide, Food Poverty and Access to Education and Work are challenges which face entire communities.
In addition to responding to immediate need we are also working with people with a longer term vision to provide sustainable and strategic solutions. Since the start of the Pandemic we have provided well over 9-Million Euro in Covid related supports. Check out our latest funding round here.
