Our annual report is an important opportunity to report to our donors and stakeholders in relation to our programme of work and progress in meeting our strategic priorities. The report lists every grant made by The Community Foundation for Ireland and its donors in 2017. This year we have combined our Annual Reports and Financial Statements into one document. Highlights of 2017 included:
- At the end of 2017, The Community Foundation for Ireland’s cumulative grant making reached over €30m in grants since it was set up in 2000. In 2017, there were over 65 Donor Advised Funds at The Community Foundation for Ireland and grants exceeding €6.5m were made in support of community groups and charitable organisations.
- The Community Foundaiton for Ireland’s Endowed Fund reached €43.7 million.
- The winners of the tenth annual Philanthropist of the Year awards were announced in February and included Norah Casey, Bord Gais Energy and John and Bernie Gallagher.
- The Community Foundation for Ireland launched the third in our series of biennial VitalSigns reports and also launched a new website www.communityfoundation.ie
