International Womens Day
A Message from Our Chief Executive, Denise Charlton
Choose to Challenge – that is the theme of International Women’s Day.
It is something we at The Community Foundation for Ireland, our donors and our frontline partners do every-day.
We make sure calls for help are answered, we make laws on equality, on consent and gender-based violence stronger and we strive to get more women into politics and leadership roles.
Together we have achieved a lot – but the journey is far from over.
There is very exciting frontline work, campaigns and advocacy going on right now.
Only today we are confirming one of our private donors has made the first ever safe house possible for The West Cork Women Against Violence Project – it is a marvellous achievement not just for the project but for that entire region.
You too can be part of this – get involved and also Choose to Challenge. There is no better day to get started.
